Good stay for our Fiji vacation!
In the Palms we made a stopover (1 night) to start our Fiji cruise. We arrived late in the evening and were greeted warmly by the staff and checked in quickly.
We stayed in a 2-Bedroom-Apartment at The Palms Denarau. Room No. 204. The apartment was very large and clean. It had all the comforts to make a longer stay comfortable. The breakfast was, if you look at the entire price/performance ratio, good.
The location of the hotel is right next to the port of Fiji. Ideally located for starting trips from there or for a few days if you want to stay longer.

A pleasant stay with very little flaws – Lomani Island Resort (adults only)
After our Fiji cruise we spent some days at Lomani Island Resort. We had a beach bungalow on the beautiful in-house beach. This (bungalow & beach) was very nice and clean. In addition to the usual room equipment, the best convenience was that you could hand in a bag of “laundry” every day. As long-term travellers this was the best service for us!
The complex is very beautiful and offers beside a restaurant, a bar, also the possibility to dine on the beach.
The food (breakfast, lunch, dinner) was generally very good. Unfortunately, however, it hit us during our 5-day stay on two evenings. One time the ordered “medium” steak was more than done, the other time we waited half an hour to get the information that the desired meal is no longer available. Basically such things can happen. It always depends on the reaction. At this point the sentence always applies: the customer is king. Of course, the customer must also present his request in a decent and polite manner, but if you offer an apology including an alternative, then the subject would be settled. But if you have to discuss with the waitress for several minutes whether a steak is “medium” or done, then the customer friendliness stops for me. At the second incident, the waiter reacted perfectly and offered us a little compensation. These two examples are intended above all to show that regular training with the staff helps to identify “problem situations” and to defuse them to the satisfaction of the customer (he is king).
The activities are also a wonderful service. The Lomani offers its guests many activities (partly by appointment) such as snorkeling, mini dolphin cruise etc. These are highly recommended. Since certain activities are carried out with registration and the demand is very high, during our stay there were also discussions between the guests who have already participated in the same activity once or several times. The less appetising side of the people became visible again :-(. The hotel would have to keep a list to see who’s been or not. Then the problem would be solved. This is a little tip for hotel management.
Lomani Island Resort is located in the Mamanuca group of islands, which are offshore west of Fiji’s main island, Viti Levu. The Mamanuca Islands are famous for their white sand beaches, abundant sea life and endless sunshine. The hotel is located on the Island of Malolo Lailai, only 10 miles west of Nadi International Airport. It takes 50 minutes by boat. We took the Malolo Cat.
