Overview video about our amazing Marina-Bay Club-Suite at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore.
The perfect stay after our two-month journey!
For the end of our two month trip we were looking for the perfect hotel in Singapore. We can definitely recommend the Mandarin Oriental!
In our Singapore-Hotel re-search we read the different reviews on TripAdvisor and the usual hotel platforms. Although the “Marina Bay Sands” is probably the best known hotel in Singapore, we decided against it for various reasons. We were there too – for dinner and in the rooftop bar – but we didn’t regret not having stayed there for a second. Due to the great hype, you felt “dispatched” as a tourist.
Marina-Bay Club-Suite Room No. 1901
The reception in the Mandarin was extremely friendly. The person in charge of the guest management welcomed us personally and carried out the check-in right in the room. The suitcases were taken from us in advance and were already waiting in the room. The friendly lady showed and explained us all the essential things related to our “Marina Bay Club Suite” booking.
The room was very beautiful and the view was breathtaking. The interior (not sure if it was like that, but it looked like) was not the latest or the most modern, but was very well maintained and preserved. The bed was really comfortable. You could have ordered additional pillows or other blankets. Other services included like chocolates, a tea set, a coffee machine, fresh flowers, fruit plates, etc. were in the suite there. In our opinion, the price/performance ratio is right.
As a club suite guest (or club class category) we were allowed to have breakfast either in the normal restaurant or in the club restaurant (19th floor – dress code: smart casual). In the club restaurant there was a champagne breakfast with an incredible selection of dinners and in the late afternoon also an afternoon tea including cocktails in the evening and hors d’oeuvres.
The whole hotel complex has been standing for several years, but it is very well maintained. The pool area is very beautiful and the view of Marina Bay is sensational.
On our departure, the night flight did not leave until 1.00 o’clock, we returned to the hotel “sweaty” in the evening. We had a short shower. We were given a room “extra” for this purpose. This was very generous.
We will probably choose the “Mandarin Oriental” again on another trip to Singapore!
